"FLOWERY is astounding. A woman wearing a dressy collar and shiny earrings is surrounded with dense foliage and large, red flowers. Her unsuitable clothing for this setting and her distant, pensive gaze suggest the flowers are simply symbolic and materialize only as an extension of her thoughts, dreams and beauty within. These same flowers overcome the space and create insulation to prevent loss of spiritual grace and the intrusion of external decadence. Tremendous ability and careful attention is demonstrated in the absolutely perfect and natural representation of the subject. Her pale skin doesn't lack a thing and includes subtle rosiness, some shine and glow, a few freckles and an extremely delicate and impressive exhibition and interchange of light and shadow.
